Last night on the Emmys, there were definitely some memorable moments! One of those moments being Merrit Wever's acceptance speech!
Merrit Wever gave one of the shortest acceptance speeches EVER. Usually at the Emmys, award producers have to start playing music just to get recipients off the stage due to time constraints. But, this was not the case for Merrit. In fact, all she said was " Thank you so much. Thank you so much. I gotta go, bye." Fortunately, her words were a hit with the Emmy audience. Merrit said backstage that she had to make a speedy exit because she realized she was about to cry. At first when I saw this I thought "Oh, she's just being funny!" But, as it turns out, she was just legitimately TERRIFIED.
